Introducing
Baulking Lake
We stocked Baulking in the autumn/winter of 2019 with around 560 x C3, C4 and C5 carp from Mark Simmond’s at Heather Fisheries, Priory Fisheries, VS Fisheries and a Lea Valley supplier. We then added a further twenty cracking C6’s from ‘Simmo’ at the end of 2020 to make a final stock of over 580 fish.
As always, a very diverse mixture of fish was received, including fully scaled mirrors, linears, leathery mirrors and some beautiful commons, so there really is something for everyone at Baulking!
The lake itself is 20 acres in size, with depths down to over 40ft in the middle (swipe on the lake map to see depth map), making it the ideal environment for these fish to reach their growing potential! This has been proven over the last couple of years, as more and more fish push over the 30lb mark.
Baulking contains very little in the way of weed, so finding areas to fish is not a problem and with it being quite a deep lake, it fishes really well right into the winter.
Making bait your ‘feature’ is a great way to fish here and when they turn up on you, action can be hectic, so be prepared with plenty of bait if you want to hold them in your swim and maximise your chances of a big hit!

Baulking Lake Day Ticket
IMPORTANT NOTICE’S
Group bookings only (Maximum of 10 anglers).
Bookings are split into three groups of three anglers. For larger groups or exclusive lake booking (where you can get a 10th angler free of charge), simply amend the booking to 2 or 3 once you have clicked the required date.
Prices –
Midweek (1:00pm Monday – 10:00am Friday) groups of 3 x anglers – £420.
Weekend (1:00pm Friday – 10:00am Monday) groups of 3 x anglers – £315.
- All groups will be met on site to be given a site walk and introduction by an embryo representative. No access to site before the stated times.
- All under 18’s must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
- Please familiarise yourself with the rules (see link below) prior to attending site. Anyone seen to be breaking any of the rules will be asked to leave the lake without refund.
- ALL LITTER IS TO BE TAKEN HOME AND DISPOSED OF RESPONSIBLY. ANY ANGLERS LEAVING LITTER ON SITE WILL NOT BE WELCOME BACK.
- *PLEASE NOTE* Nets, unhooking mats and slings are NOT CURRENTLY provided at the fishery so please bring your own, but make sure they are bone dry before fishing.
- Due to the swims having staging/jetties, we recommend that you bring either stage stands, a rod pod or long bank sticks/storm poles (to position your rods just to the side).
- Please note, there is no running water or electricity on-site so make sure you bring your own water and power packs etc.
- PLEASE NOTE, SWIM 8 CAN ONLY BE FISHED BETWEEN 1st APRIL AND 31st OCTOBER.
