Langold country Park Fishing Rules

The notice board must be checked for match bookings prior to fishing. If you are fishing on a booked peg, you will be asked to move. All match bookings can be found on the Embryo Family Fishing App. Valid EA Rod Licence always required. Fishing from designated swims only (see map). No wading.

Night Fishing:

Only anglers with a full season ticket are permitted to night fish. All other tickets are dawn to dusk only.

Under 18’s:

U18’s can only fish with an U18’s season ticket.

U18’s can only night fish if accompanied by a full season ticket holder.

U13’s must not fish without a parent or guardian present at all times.

Fires:

  • No fires or BBQ’s to be used when fishing.

Coarse fishing:

  • Disgorger, unhooking mat and a suitable sized landing net required at all times.
  • No elasticated feeders other than Guru X Safe.

Keepnets:

  • No keepnets (except in matches) between 1st April – 1st October.
  • Keepnets must not be used for longer than 6 hours.
  • Carp over 10lbs must not be kept in keepnets.

Carp Fishing:

  • Forceps, a large landing net and unhooking mat required at all times.
  • Carp to be retained in a retainer sling for no longer than 30 minutes. No sacking.
  • There is a 3-rod limit per angler.
  • When night fishing, you must provide your own toilet and correctly dispose of any waste.
  • Anglers must not exceed 72-hours in one swim.
  • The OMC ‘The Magic Twig’ is not allowed on this venue.

Lure Fishing/Pike Fishing:

  • Strong wire traces must be used at all times.
  • Long forceps, large landing let and unhooking mat to be carried at all times (Pike grow to over 20lbs).
  • Pike must be returned to the water as soon as possible and handled with the utmost care. If you are not capable of unhooking a large pike on your own then you must fish with someone that can help you.
  • No live baiting.
  • No dead bait fishing between the 1st April – 1st October.
  • Any dead fish or fish that look to be distressed or injured, please inform the fishery team immediately.

All fish to be safely returned to the water.
